Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Coordinator to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our Production Planning Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer delivery dates and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including shop floor supervisors and planners, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide guidance and support to shop floor supervisors and team leaders to ensure they have the necessary resources and information to meet production targets.
  • Monitor and control production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects and delivery of customer orders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
  • Highly organized and methodical approach to planning and executing production activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new IT systems.
  • Good understanding of production planning and control principles and practices.
  • Ability to set and meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Good standard of secondary level education and relevant work experience in a production or planning environment.
