Job Description

**Job Title:** Production Planner

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our Production Planning Department, you will be responsible for producing valid operating plans for the shop floor on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce valid operating plans for the shop floor on a weekly basis by balancing available capacity with loads predicted by IFS & Rough Cut.
  • Ensure that each scheduled operation meets the required due date according to the higher-level schedules demanded by project activities and customer orders.
  • Determine the status of assigned project activities, expedite operations and materials that delay schedule and alter the schedules to meet unforeseen activities.
  • Take action to ensure that all scheduled work is prepared for release to production complete and on time – expedite all material shortages in advance.

Requirements:

  • IT Literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages and the confidence to learn new IT systems.
  • Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or have experience working in a Production or Planning environment.
