Career Opportunity: Social Worker/Advanced Social Worker

The London Borough of Croydon is seeking skilled individuals to join its Family Assessment Service as a Social Worker or Advanced Social Worker. This role involves conducting Child and Family Assessments, creating family plans, and collaborating with families to support the implementation of agreed plans.

About the Role

We are committed to delivering exceptional services to children and families in Croydon. As a Social Worker or Advanced Social Worker, you will be responsible for undertaking S47 Child Protection Enquiries, working closely with partner agencies to ensure children and young people receive necessary support and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Child and Family Assessments, create tailored family plans, and engage with families to facilitate effective plan implementation.
  • Work directly with children, young people, and their families, demonstrating strong multi-agency partnerships and a robust understanding of thresholds of need.
  • Develop and implement systemic practice models to meet the complex needs of children and families.

Requirements

  • Qualified social workers registered with Social Work England who have completed their ASYE.

Salary: Grade 11-14 (£45,510 - £53,607)
