About the Role

The Government Commercial Function is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join our team as Head of Define within the Navy Commercial organisation.

As Head of Define, you will be responsible for leading the development of commercial strategies and policies that drive business growth and transformation within the Ministry of Defence.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities and develop solutions that meet the needs of the Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development of commercial strategies and policies that drive business growth and transformation within the Ministry of Defence.
  2. Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities and develop solutions that meet the needs of the Navy.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other government departments.
  4. Provide commercial advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on commercial matters.
  5. Lead the development of business cases and commercial plans to support the delivery of commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • Commercial Experience - Proven experience of working in a commercial role, preferably within the public sector.
  • Leadership - Ability to lead a team of commercial professionals and provide guidance and support to senior stakeholders.
  • Communication - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical - Ability to analyse complex commercial data and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
