Role Overview

Dunbar Education is partnering with a renowned SEND school in the Walsall area to recruit an exceptional Autism Learning Support Mentor. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to contribute to the education and development of primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will have experience working within SEND settings, specifically supporting children with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, Social Emotional Mental Health, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, or Attention Deficit Disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children in groups or 1:1, utilising effective classroom management skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop individualised learning plans.
  • Contribute to a culture of patience, inclusivity, and helping children with disabilities achieve their full potential.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching or Childcare Qualification.
  • Proven experience working within SEND settings, preferably supporting children with Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
