About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our Facilities Management team at West Sussex County Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of complex and medium- to high-value contracts, ensuring they meet customer requirements and business needs.

As a subject matter expert, you will lead the Soft Facilities Management and Dual Use contract management, negotiating, managing, and monitoring contracts effectively.

You will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management, from negotiation to management, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, you will line manage, mentor, motivate, and support the growth and development of our Caretaking and Premises team and Grounds Maintenance Contract team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated, public value-focussed, specialist Facilities Management team and contribute to the delivery of vital services to West Sussex's residents.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential, as you will be the go-to person for resolving any issues that may arise.

You will have a working knowledge of educational settings and structure, and the ability to influence and engage school professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and knowledge of Facilities Management, with experience of managing teams from different disciplines with excellent interpersonal skills.
