About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our Facilities Management team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-profile contracts to support the delivery of vital services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, manage, and monitor complex and medium- to high-value contracts to meet customer requirements and business needs.
  • Lead the Soft Facilities Management and Dual Use contract management, overseeing all aspects of contract management from negotiation to management.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Line manage, mentor, motivate, and support the growth and development of our Caretaking and Premises team and Grounds Maintenance Contract team.

About You

We are looking for a proactive leader with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. You will have a working knowledge of educational settings and structure, and the ability to influence and engage school professionals.

You will have strong project management skills and knowledge of Facilities Management, with experience of managing teams from different disciplines with excellent interpersonal skills.
