This Primary School in London is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead their Special Educational Needs department. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and day-to-day management of the SEN department, ensuring the school meets its statutory obligations regarding SEN provision.
About the Role:
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the SENCO will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of SEN policies, as well as providing training and support to teaching staff on SEN strategies and best practices. The successful candidate will also be expected to foster an inclusive school environment through effective communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the SEN department, providing strategic direction and day-to-day management.
* Coordinate with senior leadership to develop and implement SEN policies.
* Provide training and support to teaching staff on SEN strategies and best practices.
* Foster an inclusive school environment through effective communication and collaboration.
