About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our Swale Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) as a Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience of working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties, including those with moderate to severe and profound learning disabilities.
Main Responsibilities
The Clinical Lead will be responsible for leading on service development and delivery, including research opportunities. They will also develop partnership working with key agencies and ensure the service is delivering the most clinically effective interventions in line with current research and clinical guidelines.
About NELFT's CYPMHS
NELFT's CYPMHS is a modern service that focuses on emotional wellbeing as well as mental health. The service is for anyone aged between 0-18, living in Kent, and is free at the point of entry. The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25.
Locality Teams
Each locality team has care pathways, which are clinically led and managed by care pathway leads. The care pathway leads are responsible for assessment, treatment, and systematic outcome measurement in their care pathway. CYPMHS multi-disciplinary pathway workers and mental health workers may work across more than one care pathway in a locality team.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a post-graduate training in psychological practice and be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body. They will also have extensive experience of working with moderate to profound learning disabilities, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
