Role Overview:

The Practice Executive - Market Advocacy & Strategy will be responsible for leading the expansion of Northern Trust's Global Family Office (GFO) business, driving growth and client retention through strategic market advocacy and business development initiatives.

This role will require close collaboration with senior leaders, external stakeholders, and industry experts to develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy, leveraging Northern Trust's expertise and resources to drive business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a market advocacy and business development strategy to drive growth and client retention.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging Northern Trust's expertise and resources.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and external stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships with key industry bodies, regulators, and centers of influence.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to business unit leaders and wider business leadership, leveraging intelligence and research to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage a team, conduct performance management and career development processes, and make staffing and disciplinary decisions, subject to resourcing growth.

Requirements:

  • Seasoned multi-disciplinary GFO expert with extensive investment, client-facing, and business experience.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to determine business unit goals, resourcing needs, and marshal cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth GFO functional/industry knowledge, with tangible experience leading a GFO practice, working in or advising a family office, or related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders externally and commercially, as well as internally.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
