Job Overview

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Non-Emergency Transport Call Centre team as a Medical Call Taker Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process telephone enquiries from patients and hospitals for non-emergency ambulance transport
  • Assess and determine the most appropriate method of transport for patients
  • Accurately process requests using the Trust's databases
  • Provide support to the planning and day control teams within the NEPTS department
  • Input details quickly and accurately onto a computer system

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to converse in the Welsh language
  • Good knowledge of the geographical areas of Wales
  • Competent in using computer systems and typing skills
