About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Autism Support Worker to join our team at Search, a leading provider of support services for individuals with a variety of needs. Our organization is dedicated to delivering person-centred care and support that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to service users with Autism and learning difficulties, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Coordinate and allocate work tasks, ensuring that support is delivered effectively and in line with individual care plans.
  • Provide hands-on support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Undertake assessments and reviews of individual care plans, ensuring that support is tailored to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Liaise with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of clients, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support with staff training, development, and supervision, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the social care sector, with a strong understanding of Autism and learning disabilities.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, demonstrating a solid foundation in care and support principles.
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, with a proven ability to adapt to diverse situations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of support workers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and external professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
