We are currently seeking an experienced professional to fill a full-time, permanent position as an Early Years Development Specialist.

Salary: Up to £33,500 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Location: Home/field-based, with flexibility required for travel across Devon

Essential Criteria:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Nursery Manager
  • Proven experience working with children aged 0-3 years in a Nursery setting, and children aged 5 or above in a Childminder or Teaching Assistant capacity
  • A Level 5 qualification in Early Years Childcare
  • A minimum of a Level 2 English and Maths/GCSE equivalent qualification
  • Desirable skills include experience in delivering on-the-job training to staff, organisational skills, and the ability to plan time effectively
  • A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To deliver full Apprenticeship Standards in Early Years Childcare up to Level 5, alongside Functional Skills to Level 2
  • Manage a caseload of learners, conducting remote and face-to-face observations to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeships
  • Efficiently manage your diary to ensure timely reviews and completions
  • Support learners through the End Point Assessment Process
  • Maintain accurate documentation on learners' progress
  • Provide support, guidance, and motivation to learners
  • Adapt delivery to meet learners' needs and overcome barriers to learning
  • Maintain high-quality paperwork and general administration, meeting Assessor KPIs
