As a Pre-Sales Consultant at IFS, you will play a crucial role in understanding the business and functional objectives of our clients and prospects. You will work closely with our Sales teams and Business Architects to provide a functional product solution and demonstrate its value to our customers.
Through the support of industry specialists and business value engineering, you will enable the customer-first approach of IFS, ensuring the understanding and delivery of the value and technical solutions our customers expect. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in internal and customer/prospect-facing product presentations and demonstrations.
- Facilitating and documenting prospect and customer discovery sessions to uncover business processes and functional requirements.
- Responding to technical questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Supporting with technical qualification of sales opportunities.
- Gaining knowledge of specific IFS products and services.
- Supporting and building custom demonstrations aligned with customers'/prospects' key business initiatives.
- Ensuring the successful delivery of Proof of Value tied to the customers' success criteria and business initiatives.
- Translating technical and business requirements into a customer-focused, value-centric solution.
- Working within teams with the ability to adopt a leadership role where necessary.
- Maintaining a high degree of knowledge of all products and services, including roadmaps, and regularly liaising with product management.
- Using the knowledge and/or understanding of the major customers' requirements to provide and/or propose commercially and viable product/solution improvement feedbacks of large and complex customer requirements – involving senior management where needed.
- Working with Enterprise level prospects and clients and being prepared to question them to cover a complete architecture, including integration of IFS Ultimo into a wider environment.
- Understanding and demonstrating the key metrics, KPI's and business drivers for the IFS Ultimo Industries.
- Working with the sales organisation to address technical needs for the customers.
- Maintaining knowledge of and following the IFS Ultimo Customer Engagement processes.
- Ensuring discipline of excellence and passion to every customer engagement.
- Supporting at external and internal customer-facing events.
- Using the knowledge and/or understanding of the major customers' requirement to provide and/or propose commercially and viable product/solution improvement feedback.
Essential:
- University degree, equivalent professional qualifications or appropriate experience.
- Deep experience of solution development, presenting software applications and business process mapping at a senior level.
- A comprehensive understanding of business practices within relevant industries.
- Experience of working with Enterprise Asset Management software or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- A willingness to travel – nationally and internationally as required.
Desirable:
- Experience in developing business process strategy and enterprise architecture.
A Pre-Sales Consultant at IFS would be expected to have an excellent understanding of the following areas:
- Experience in Enterprise Asset Management.
- Project management in asset-intensive industries.
- Developing solutions to deliver customer-facing demonstrations and presentations focused on the key IFS and customer value messaging.
- End-to-end business process and business practices including process and solution mapping.
- Knowledge of IFS products and processes, with a focus on the IFS Ultimo processes related to your areas of industry expertise.
- Commitment to self-learning and regular training.
