We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Independent Social Worker to support the East Midlands region on a temporary freelance basis.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with foster parents and children's social workers, utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to build positive relationships.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct support to our families, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure foster parents are informed, accepted, and operate within regulations and national minimum standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster families, promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with foster parents, children's social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foster families, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Requirements
  • Hold a formal social work qualification.
  • Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England.
  • Have a valid driving license.
  • The right to work in the UK.
