We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Berkshire as we develop a new CAMHS Learning Disabilities service. This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time consultant, but we are also open to part-time hours.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge in the specialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with expertise in delivering evidence-based treatment for anxiety & mood disorders, trauma, mania and psychosis, and eating disorders. They will be able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, make decisions based on evidence and experience, and meet duties under the Mental Health Act (MHA) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA).

As a member of our team, you will work closely together across the directorate, integrating services to enable improved care to children, young people, and families. You will be part of a collaborative working environment that promotes shared leadership and continuous professional development. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a commitment to improving the experience and outcomes of children, young people, and families across Berkshire.

We offer a competitive salary of £123,000 - £168,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to supporting International Medical Graduates to get Section 12 and Approved Clinician status, and help them become substantive consultants on the GMC specialist register.

Please note that applicants must have a MB BS or equivalent medical qualification, be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment, and be included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months. Additionally, they should have Approved clinician status OR be able to achieve within 3 months of appointment, Approved under S12 OR be able to achieve within 3 months of appointment, and hold and use a valid UK driving licence OR provide evidence of proposed alternative.
