Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a child with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in our special school in Slough.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have SEMH needs and strong communication skills to build relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

About the Role:
  1. Provide tailored support to a designated pupil, adapting strategies to meet their unique needs.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement and review the child's EHCP targets.
  3. Create a safe and engaging learning environment to promote the child's growth and development.
  4. Support the child's emotional well-being, fostering positive relationships and self-esteem.
  5. Assist with managing challenging behavior in line with school policies and support plans.
