About the Role
Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as we develop a new CAMHS Learning Disability service for Berkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric services to children and young people with complex mental health needs, including learning disabilities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.

Job Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality psychiatric services to children and young people with complex mental health needs, including learning disabilities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways
* Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices

Requirements
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Excellent knowledge in child and adolescent psychiatry
* Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
* Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
* Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others
* Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
