Transformative Mental Health Professional: Dynamic Role in CAMHS Rapid Response

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team in Slough. This dynamic role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people experiencing mental health crises.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health assessments and short-term interventions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team and external partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing comprehensive psychosocial crisis assessments, offering support and guidance to young people and their families, and identifying ongoing care plan needs.
This role requires a degree in a relevant field, such as social work, nursing, or occupational therapy, as well as significant post-qualifying experience in mental health settings. You should have excellent communication skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive psychosocial crisis assessments for young people who have presented in crisis.
- Offer short-term intervention to stabilise the crisis (follow-up appointments, multi-agency consultation-liaison).
- Identify ongoing care plan needs for young people and their families to ensure they are referred to appropriate services.
- Maintain and develop key relationships with professionals external to the area of service, as well as patients and their families.
- Be responsible for the accurate maintenance of clinical record keeping and ensuring all systems, records, and data are stored and transferred correctly.

The estimated salary for this role is £43,141 - £56,062 per annum, depending on experience.
