About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Services Team Member at Park Parade Surgery.
Job Summary
As a Patient Services Team Member, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. You will be responsible for booking appointments, managing patient records, and directing patients to the appropriate staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
- Book appointments and manage the surgery's schedule, ensuring efficient use of time.
- Direct patients to the appropriate staff members, providing clear and concise information.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing, to support the smooth operation of the surgery.
Requirements
- At least 1 year's experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Commitment to continuing professional development, with a desire to learn and grow within the role.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate and a 6-month probationary period. The successful candidate will be required to work some early starts and 6pm finishes, as well as cover for other team members' holidays and occasional short notice cover for sickness.
