We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Administrator to join our team at Major Talent's manufacturing site near Buxton.

About the Job

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, reviewing specifications for branded and own-label products, artwork in line with labelling policies, and meeting launch deadlines. As a Specification Technologist, you will be responsible for reviewing raw material content to develop gold standard specifications and improve compliance.

  1. Work closely with the Food Technologist and Specification technologist to ensure smooth operations.
  2. Assist the Technical department with GMP, hygiene, and internal audits.
  3. Maintain accurate records of raw material suppliers and specifications.
  4. Conduct thorough food safety risk assessments and generate specifications for raw materials entering the business.
  5. Evaluate ingredients to ensure they meet required standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in food industry technical administration/specifications, knowledge of writing retailer specifications, and excellent communication skills. A degree/NHD education in a food science, food technology, or nutrition discipline would be advantageous.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
