We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Young Person's Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Redbridge. As a key member of our service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people affected by drug and alcohol issues.

The Role

As a Young Person's Practitioner, you will deliver early intervention and prevention work, providing specialist drug and alcohol treatment to young people. Your primary focus will be on:

  • Preventing young people from engaging in substance misuse and risk-taking behaviors.
  • Enabling young people to develop boundaries, emotional resilience, and self-esteem.
  • Actively supporting young people to reduce and/or stop harmful behaviors, promoting prosocial and healthy alternatives.

You will work closely with young people, their families, and carers, providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, and risk management. Your expertise will also involve delivering brief interventions, resilience training, and harm minimization.

Location

The role is based interchangeably between Barkingside and Ilford Chambers, with travel to schools and satellites within the borough.
