Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Young Person's Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Via Westminster Drug Project. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering early intervention and prevention work, as well as providing specialist drug and alcohol treatment for young people.

The Role

As a Young Person's Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive assessments, care planning, and risk management for young people.
  • Delivering brief interventions, resilience training, and harm minimization strategies.
  • Supporting families and carers of young people accessing our services.
  • Liaising with and working in partnership with key agencies and stakeholders, including the Youth Offending Service, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, social services, schools, and colleges.
  • Delivering structured group work to young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with young people and their families.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse and its impact on young people.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
