Job Title: Learning Support Specialist

Location: Sunderland

We are recruiting a Learning Support Specialist for a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) secondary school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), ideally having experience with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with SEND pupils and be comfortable providing 1:1 support.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Assist pupils in lessons and activities.
  • Be flexible and resilient, meeting the diverse needs of students.
