Role: Food and Beverage Assistant

Location: Seaham Hall, a 5-star hotel in County Durham

Resort Information:

  • Up to £12 per hour, plus a share of service charge (approx. £2k a year for full-time employees)
  • Full and part-time hours available, including weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive service during meals and watch for special requests
  • Assist in the general cleaning of working areas
  • Upsell desserts, starters, drinks, and other menu items
  • Attend work consistently well-groomed and in uniform
  • Be willing to attend training and gain an understanding of the menu to offer guidance and recommendations to guests

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but full training will be provided
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure a 5-star standard of service
  • Knowledge of Simphony/Oracle software is advantageous
  • Ability to effectively interact with management, team members, and guests in a professional manner
  • Be a team player as well as an individual worker
  • Transport is essential due to location and shifts
