Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our Critical Care team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical pharmacy services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the pharmacy critical care service, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team. You will develop and maintain the web-based hospital formulary, provide training in critical care skills to clinical staff, and act as a trainee pharmacist tutor/diploma mentor. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to writing/checking pharmacy information bulletins, providing a highly specialist service to critical care, and managing drug budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver the pharmacy critical care service
  • Develop and maintain the web-based hospital formulary
  • Provide training in critical care skills to clinical staff
  • Act as a trainee pharmacist tutor/diploma mentor
  • Coordinate and contribute to writing/checking pharmacy information bulletins
  • Provide a highly specialist service to critical care
  • Manage drug budgets
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • MRPharmS or equivalent and registered with GPhC
  • Completion of postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
  • Relevant hospital experience and staff management experience
  • Ability to manage and supervise staff, lead and implement change, and deal directly with public, senior clinicians, and other health service and pharmaceutical industry staff
