Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of clinical pharmacy services in line with local and national objectives.
  • Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy service according to the Trust agreed standards, including individual prescription review, medicines reconciliation, and advice on dosage, side-effects, cautions, and monitoring required.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and the development and implementation of treatment protocols and guidelines for the use of medicines within clinical areas.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of clinical governance, including participation in clinical audit programme, identification of areas of risk, and reporting of adverse drug reactions and incidents.
  • Assist in the preparation of drug evaluations for presentation at the Drug and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures and protocols relevant to the role clinical pharmacy procedures, relevant dispensary based procedures.
  • Assist with the development of and ensuring adherence to evidence-based prescribing guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • GPhC (GB) registration
  • Commenced Postgraduate at Certificate level in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience working in hospital pharmacy
  • Comprehensive Band 6 rotation
  • Broad-based clinical experience
  • Evidence of clinical audit/practice research
  • Experience of training
