Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Social Work Team Manager to join our Children's service in Truro. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child protection and care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with professionals and families.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the social work team to improve outcomes for children and young people
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Work closely with parents and carers to provide support and advice
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure comprehensive and coordinated responses to safeguarding concerns
  • Manage casework, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Recent managerial experience in Children's Services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

**Estimated Salary:** £48,250 per annum
