Lead Children's Social Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Lead Children's Social Care Professional to join our team in the South West region.
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding position, where you will lead a stable and committed team, benefiting from a supportive management structure. You will be instrumental in promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people in the area.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and support social workers, trainees, and students, providing expert advice and consultation.
- Collaborate with the Early Help Hub to deliver integrated support for families.
- Assess complex information to make informed decisions about risk, harm, and the needs of children and families.
- Forge strong partnerships with parents, children, and professionals, often in challenging circumstances.
- Ensure the team meets strict timescales and high service standards, while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- A qualified social worker with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience, ideally with management experience in a front-line children's services team.
- Proven expertise in child protection, risk assessment, and safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Commitment to a flexible approach, balancing office and home working.
Competitive salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
