Pupil Mentorship Professional

Polaris is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pupil Mentorship Professional to join our team. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils with complex needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). You will be confident in your ability to build positive relationships with pupils and drive interaction and learning outcomes.
As a key part of our team, you will also contribute to the development of our specialist provision, working closely with colleagues to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Mentor and support pupils with SEMH, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
- Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation, ensuring that pupils receive tailored support
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips
- Collaborate with the teaching team to monitor and report on pupils' progress
- A strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting

- A salary of £20,450.51 - £23,274.49 per annum
