Dedicated Child Support Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our dynamic and experienced play service at the Royal Hospital for Children as a Play Support Worker for our Accident and Emergency and Clinical Decisions unit. This rewarding role involves providing recreational and normalizing play activities to children and young people during their hospital visit.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the toys/play equipment and play area while working closely as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support all children & young people inclusively are essential requirements for this position.
This fixed-term contract is for 12 months, with a part-time schedule of 30 hours per week. The shift pattern includes Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 12pm to 8pm. Although some experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, it is not essential.
