UK Child Bereavement Support Director

Child Bereavement UK Scotland seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead on the provision, evaluation, and ongoing development of a Scotland-wide Bereavement Support Service. This role involves ensuring families and professionals can access high-quality bereavement support when a baby or child has died, or when children or young people are bereaved.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan for bereavement support services across Scotland.
  2. Collaborate with partners to develop bereavement support services across Scotland.
  3. Provide training, consultancy, and support for professionals whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised health, social care, or counselling qualification, experience in working with children, young people, and families, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting bereaved families and those whose roles bring them into contact with these families.

Compensation:
  • A competitive salary of £37,500 per annum.
