The Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our well-resourced SEND school in Wallington on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will be working with a small class of pupils all of whom have profound and multiple learning disabilities. You will also work with various pupils on a 1 to 1 basis, providing all-round care and learning support for the class.

As a specialist SEND Teaching Assistant, you should have an understanding of working with children with special needs from previous roles and a true passion for supporting pupils to succeed in all areas of learning.

You will be directed by the highly-experienced class teacher and involved in supporting some children whilst they have additional intervention sessions from the internal team of Speech and Language therapists, Drama therapist, and Occupational therapists employed within the school.

This is an ongoing contract opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

To apply for this role, you must have experience working with pupils with special educational needs.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to truly support children with learning disabilities and a willingness to work as part of a dedicated team.
