About this Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' school in Tower Hamlets. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the care and support they require to thrive.
- About the School
- This local community school is situated in Tower Hamlets, with excellent transportation links on the District Line.
- You will work closely with SEN professionals, including Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists, to provide tailored support to our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children 1:1 in mainstream classes and Specialist classrooms, providing individualized care and attention.
- Work alongside teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
- Collaborate with the SEN team to provide additional support, such as 1:1 tuition, therapy sessions, and behavioral interventions.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being for all students.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN or school-based experience.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to students with special needs.
- Passion for working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they receive the same opportunities as every other pupil.
