Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teaching assistant to join our team at a primary special needs school in Peckham. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties, and will be able to bring their creativity and enthusiasm to the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties in a one-to-one and group setting
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, incorporating music, art, and other creative activities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly autism and physical disabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with students with learning difficulties
  • Basic knowledge of music and art therapy
