About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Operations Manager to join our team at Wendy's UK. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of your assigned Area, ensuring that all restaurants meet our high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Development:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant managers and staff.
    • Implement effective performance management and coaching to drive business results.
    • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of internal talent to ensure succession planning.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Conduct regular store visits to monitor and improve quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
    • Implement and maintain effective systems and processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
  • Profitability:
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
    • Monitor and control food and labor costs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement local marketing initiatives.
  • Health and Food Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations and Company policies.
    • Conduct regular audits and provide coaching to restaurant managers to ensure adherence to standards.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve food safety and quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in multi-site management within the restaurant industry.
  • Proven track record as a District Manager in developing high-performing teams and driving business results.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with restaurant managers and staff.
  • Ability to work a 45-hour work week, with flexibility to work varied shifts and days as required.
