Art-K Ltd is an art club for children aged 6 to 18 based in the UK. We provide a wide range of artistic mediums and learning techniques, aiming to teach children various artistic styles as well as 3D projects.

We have over 50 branches across the country and 5000+ students, with a tried-and-tested programme that's proven to work in teaching children core artistic skills and techniques. Our goal is ensuring each child has access to an art club in their local area.

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Art Teacher to join our team at Art-K High Barnet. You will be supporting our Art Teachers with the running of sessions and the upkeep of the studio, ensuring our students get the best experience when attending our classes.

This role involves working in a fun, club environment with high teacher-student ratios where children are enthusiastic about art. You will be part of a strong team of like-minded artists and teachers who are committed and passionate about art education.

  • Support the students' ongoing learning environment by running workshops in school holidays, providing ad-hoc cover when the branch manager is ill or on holiday, and covering nearby studios when required.
  • Have face-to-face training on all art projects by Kathryn, the Creative Director.
  • Gain experience and knowledge in delivering skill-based art programmes, teaching, and child development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An Art degree or equivalent skills.
  • Art skills in a range of mediums.
  • Experience teaching or working with children.
  • A long-term commitment to previous roles.

We offer a competitive salary of £9,613.50 per year, as well as:

Others:

This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week. The working hours are Monday: 10:00 - 14:00 (4 hours), Tuesday: 10:00 - 15:00 (5 hours), Wednesday: Closed, Thursday: 10:00 - 15:00 (5 hours), Friday: 15:00 - 18:00 (3 hours), Saturday: 8:30 - 16:00 (7.5 hours).
