Culinary Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead our culinary team at RNAS Yeovilton Junior Mess in Yeovil. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn £16.20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food service and implement changes accordingly.
  • Create a positive kitchen environment where team members feel valued and supported.
  • Deliver our food concepts to customers while maintaining a positive brand image.
  • Order food, manage stock control, and minimize food waste.
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Manage budgets and meet financial targets successfully.
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
  • Create a positive work environment where team members can thrive.
  • Be an excellent communicator and build strong relationships.
  • Have experience as a Head Chef in a similar role.
  • Show enthusiasm and motivation towards delivering excellence.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that benefit our customers.
  • Possess a desire to succeed in this role.
