About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cooking with fresh seasonal food and a good understanding of nutrition. They will also possess excellent communication skills, being able to engage with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  2. Assist Head Chef in menu development
  3. Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards
Requirements
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Good understanding of HACCP

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a Rewarding Excellence bonus and unlimited access to our refer a friend scheme.
