Placing Talent's client is a leading provider of clinical coding services seeking a Clinical Coding Auditor to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role involves working from home and on-site with clients, requiring flexibility in travel and potential overnight stays. Travel will be limited to an hour and a half from the home address. The successful candidate will hold the Approved Clinical Coding Auditor Qualification.

Job Overview
  • A competitive basic salary in excess of standard NHS banding for the equivalent role: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.

The Clinical Coding Auditor will undertake audits in line with NHS Digital's audit methodology and code of conduct. They will maintain coding audit programmes to ensure ongoing improvements in quality assurance, working closely with the Head of Coding, Operational Managers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading on external audit requests, managing the process from start to finish.
  • Producing high-quality and precise reports following all audits in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the team with client coding requirements, including clinical coding at various hospitals and remote coding at home.
Requirements
  • NHS Digital Approved Clinical Coding Auditor qualification.
  • Experience in delivering clinical coding audits to a high standard and tight deadlines.
  • Expert knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS4 coding classifications and National Standards.
  • Knowledge of HRGs and the impact of clinical coding on these.
  • Good presentational and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Data Security and Protection Toolkit and Patient Confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong Communication and motivational skills.
