Clinical Coding Specialist

Placing Talent's client is a leading provider of clinical coding services, seeking a skilled Clinical Coding Auditor to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful applicant can expect a competitive basic salary in excess of standard NHS banding for the equivalent role, with benefits including 23 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 2 years), a paid day out of the office for volunteering, and a generous employer pension contribution scheme.
Job DescriptionThis hybrid role combines working from home with site visits to clients, requiring flexibility on travel and potential overnight stays. The successful candidate will undertake audits in line with NHS Digital's audit methodology and code of conduct, maintaining coding audit programmes to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
Required Skills and Qualifications- NHS Digital Approved Clinical Coding Auditor qualification.
- Experience in delivering clinical coding audits to high standards and tight deadlines.
- Expert knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS4 coding classifications and National Standards.
- Knowledge of HRGs and the impact of clinical coding on these.
- Good presentational and report writing skills.
- Data Security and Protection Toolkit and Patient Confidentiality requirements knowledge.
- Strong Communication and motivational skills.
