The NHS is seeking a Clinical Workforce Development Specialist to lead the development and sustainability of high-quality workforce initiatives. This role focuses on implementing the Trust's workforce strategy, building capacity, and supporting clinical workforce initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development of the clinical workforce as outlined in the Long-Term Plan.
  2. Provide insights into workforce development issues to support nursing, AHP, and wider workforce supply across the health and care system.
  3. Collaborate with the nursing, AHP, and senior leadership team to develop and implement the Trust's strategic workforce plan.
  4. Support professional development objectives through training and education for registered nurses, midwives, AHPs, and other clinical groups.
  5. Support initiatives such as return to practice, widening participation, apprenticeships, pre-graduate learners, and international recruitment.
  6. Implement the Trust's workforce development strategy with a focus on management and leadership development.
  7. Ensure alignment with local and national workforce development and education guidelines.
  8. Deliver on specific KPIs and ensure alignment with the Coventry and Warwickshire People Plan.

This is a leadership role that requires strong management and leadership skills, proven experience of motivating staff, and delivery at an organisational level.

Requirements
  • Management and Leadership Degree or equivalent.
  • Educated to master's level or equivalent postgraduate CPD in education and training qualifications.
  • Qualification related to project management, service improvement, or education.
  • Demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development of relevance to education and training.
  • PILS/PETTLE or relevant training qualification.
  • Coaching and Mentoring qualification.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £53,755 and £60,504 per year, dependent on experience.
