Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as Head of Management Accounting. This pivotal role involves leading the MIS finance team to provide finance business partnering, budgeting and forecasting across the University's academic and professional services departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the MIS finance team to provide finance business partnering, budgeting and forecasting
  • Work closely with colleagues across finance and the wider University to produce strategic financial support, drive process improvements, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance financial performance
  • Support the development of new strategic initiatives and changes in practices driven by both internal and external factors
  • Be a qualified accountant with experience leading finance teams across complex organisations
  • Have experience building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Be an expert user of Excel and have experience of using Power Bi
  • Be technically proficient and be able to understand and explain the financial implications of decisions
  • Be able to adapt to a changing environment
