Job Summary:
The University of Bath is seeking an experienced finance professional to fill the role of Head of Management Accounting. This pivotal position involves leading the MIS finance team to provide finance business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting across the University's academic and professional services departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the MIS finance team to provide finance business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting across the University's academic and professional services departments.
- Work closely with colleagues across finance and the wider University to produce strategic financial support, drive process improvements, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance financial performance.
- Support the development of new strategic initiatives and changes in practices driven by both internal and external factors.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and provide expert financial advice.
- Be an expert user of Excel and have experience of using Power Bi.
- Be technically proficient and able to understand and explain the financial implications of decisions.
- Adapt to a changing environment and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Be a qualified accountant.
- Have experience leading finance teams across complex organisations.
- Have experience building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Be an expert user of Excel and have experience of using Power Bi.
- Be technically proficient and able to understand and explain the financial implications of decisions.
- Able to adapt to a changing environment.
