Clinical Lead for Organ Donation and Transplantation

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting organ donation and transplantation within the hospital and its wider community.
Main Duties of the Job
The Clinical Lead will be expected to attend relevant local and national events, work in collaboration with the Organ Donation Team, and lead and work within a multi-professional team. The post is initially for a three-year period, with the option of a further three-year extension, subject to annual review.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend local and national events to promote organ donation and transplantation
- Work in collaboration with the Organ Donation Team to raise awareness and improve donation rates
- Lead and work within a multi-professional team to achieve donation targets
Requirements
- Medical qualification and experience of working at consultant level in intensive care medicine or another appropriate discipline
- Knowledge and experience in deceased organ donation
- Awareness of current national policy and guidelines relevant to organ donation
