Deputy Head of School Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy Head of School, responsible for supporting the Head of School in leading the delivery of various functions aligned with the NHS England mandate.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of School to manage clinical faculty, ensuring effective systems for assessment, rotational management, revalidation, trainee supervision, and support.
  • Implement the NHSE Quality Framework and Education and Training Quality Improvement and Performance.
  • Oversee postgraduate program management, including assessments, progression, rotations, support, and remediation.
  • Develop educational programs to support achievement of curriculum competencies.
  • Engage with business planning processes and associated School budgets.
Requirements
  • Primary medical qualification or On the Specialist Register.
  • Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, Professional Association, and/or Regulatory Body.
  • Experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
  • Experience of clinical and educational leadership.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time secondment opportunity, with a salary paid in line with sessional payments.
