Network Rail Section Manager

As a key member of our Network Rail team, you will be responsible for managing a section of the rail network, leading a large maintenance team and driving safety and efficiency across diverse works.
This role involves managing the production and delivery of a comprehensive and compliant work programme, promoting and embedding safe working behaviours within the team and coaching, influencing and developing others.
Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques is essential, as well as the ability to lead and implement change and improvement initiatives.
Able to communicate effectively, both in person and in writing, and comfortable working shifts including days, nights and weekends, this role is ideal for a motivated and organised individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality results.
Key responsibilities will include managing budgets and driving engagement and development across the team, planning, inspecting and implementing important tactical works and championing safety as a top priority.
Reporting to the programme manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the programme, working closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that the programme is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
