Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our maintenance team at Network Rail. As a Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and fault-finding tasks on our rail network.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions, often with the need to transport equipment across challenging terrain.

The role involves a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Maintenance and fault-finding of rail infrastructure
  • Carrying out inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Working closely with team members to deliver safe and efficient work delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Ability to work shifts in all weathers
