Job Title: Senior Psychiatrist in Community Mental Health

Salary: £99,532 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Recovery and Rehabilitation Service. The service is new, developing and has been created as part of the Community Mental Health Framework in Devon to improve access to rehabilitation for those with complex mental health issues.

About the Role:

  • As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide senior medical leadership to the Rehab and Recovery service, which involves both community and inpatient services.
  • You will work within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and offer assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients being managed by the Recovery and Rehabilitation Service.
  • You will be available 9-5 Monday to Friday and will be based at Estuary House, Torbay as well as Cypress Hospital in Newton Abbott.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective rehabilitation services.
  • To contribute to the development of the service and ensure that it meets the needs of patients and their families/carers.

Requirements:

  • FRCR or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • CCT in General Psychiatry.
  • Prior experience working in a Community Mental Health Team.
