Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our community mental health team as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines in our community patients.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new clinical pharmacy technician service within our community mental health team, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide pharmaceutical care and medicines optimisation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To identify individuals prescribed high-risk medicines and complete required physical health and side effect monitoring.
  • To work with the local Medicines Optimisation team to develop and deliver the clinical pharmacy service, ensuring safe, therapeutic, and cost-effective use of medication in community teams.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 and BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Evidence of revalidation.
  • MO knowledge including appropriate policies and legislation.
